PM-Kisan Samman Yojana:
Farmers across the country are eagerly awaiting the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana. The government is likely to release this ₹2,000 installment into the bank accounts of eligible farmers in the first week of November, though the official date has not been confirmed yet. To receive this payment, farmers must ensure that their e-KYC is completed and their bank account is linked with Aadhaar. Those with incomplete or incorrect details will not get the installment.
Who will receive the benefit?
Only those farmers whose names appear on the PM-Kisan beneficiary list, whose Aadhaar is linked to their bank account, and who have successfully completed the e-KYC process will be eligible for this payment. Farmers are advised to check their status on pmkisan.gov.in and visit the nearest help center if they find any errors or missing information.
Previous Installments and Special Cases
The 20th installment of the PM-Kisan Yojana was disbursed in August 2025, providing benefits to nearly 9.8 crore farmers across the country. Meanwhile, in states like Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, the 21st installment has already been credited to farmers’ accounts due to the natural calamities faced last month. Farmers in other states are expected to receive their payments after Diwali.
Importance and Future of the Scheme
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana offers ₹6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers, distributed in three equal installments. This financial aid supports farmers in covering essential agricultural expenses and promoting self-sufficiency. The release of the 21st installment will further empower farmers to manage their farming costs more effectively.
Key Guidelines for Farmers
To ensure a smooth transfer of funds, farmers must update their bank account details, link Aadhaar, and complete e-KYC on time. They are also advised to regularly visit the official website and stay in touch with local agricultural offices for the latest updates regarding the scheme.
