Maruti Suzuki, long regarded as the go-to choice for Indian car buyers due to its dependable performance, budget-friendly pricing, and impressive fuel efficiency, is now shifting focus toward improved safety. In recent years, the company has taken significant steps by incorporating additional airbags and actively exploring advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in its vehicles.

Fronx: Maruti’s Premium Compact SUV
One of Maruti’s best-selling compact SUVs, the Fronx, has now received a Level 2 ADAS suite in its Indonesian variant. Indonesia is only the second country to produce the Fronx after India. This new safety tech brings the Fronx closer to international safety standards.

What’s Included in Level 2 ADAS?
The Fronx in Indonesia now features:

These features significantly enhance road awareness and help reduce accidents, especially in urban traffic.

Is India Getting This Upgrade?
While Maruti has not officially confirmed the arrival of the ADAS-equipped Fronx in India, the move in Indonesia signals that it may happen in the future—possibly as Indian buyers grow more safety-conscious and government norms evolve.

Indian buyers enjoy a host of features in the Fronx:

  • Cruise control
  • Wireless charging
  • Heads-up display
  • 9-inch touchscreen infotainment
  • 360-degree camera

The Maruti Fronx is priced between Rs 8.88 lakh and Rs 15.44 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), making it a great value-packed SUV with futuristic aspirations.

Conclusion: Fronx Future-Proofs Itself
With the global Fronx getting ADAS and a more powerful engine, the possibility of similar upgrades in the Indian model cannot be ruled out. As Maruti continues to evolve its safety and tech offerings, the Fronx remains a strong contender in India’s fast-growing compact SUV segment.
