Petrol, Diesel, and LPG Prices on 3 July
Despite a decline in crude oil prices, oil marketing companies have released the latest fuel rates at 6 AM today, maintaining the status quo. There has been no revision in petrol or diesel prices across India. Similarly, LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged from those on July 1.
In New Delhi, petrol continues to be priced at ₹94.77 per litre, while diesel remains at ₹87.67 per litre. It’s worth noting that in March 2024, fuel prices were cut by ₹2 per litre when crude oil was trading at $84.49 per barrel.
As per Bloomberg, Brent crude futures dropped by 24 cents (0.35%) to $68.87 a barrel after a 3% gain on Wednesday. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also slipped by 24 cents (0.36%) to $67.21 a barrel following a 3.1% increase.
Cheapest petrol in the world
According to GlobalPetrolPrices.com, the cheapest petrol in the world is in Libya at Rs 2.38 per liter. Earlier it was Rs 2.39 per liter. Whereas, the price of a liter of petrol in Iran is Rs 2.44. Earlier it was Rs 2.47. The price of petrol in Venezuela is now Rs 2.99 per liter. Earlier it was Rs 3.02.

A 19 kg LPG cylinder costs Rs 1665 in Delhi. In Kolkata today, a commercial cylinder will be available for Rs 1769. In Mumbai, the rate of this cylinder is Rs 1616. The price of commercial cylinder in Chennai is ₹ 1823.50.
