Ayushman Bharat: Ayushman card can be rejected even after it is issued, know why
Ayushman Bharat Scheme: Under the Ayushman Bharat initiative, the central government offers free medical treatment worth up to ₹5 lakh per family every year. However, if there are mistakes in the details provided while issuing the Ayushman card, the card can be rejected. Let’s understand the reasons why an Ayushman card may be denied.
Ayushman Bharat is a government-backed health insurance scheme launched to provide financial protection for healthcare to economically weaker sections of society. To avail of its benefits, it is mandatory to obtain an Ayushman card. This card is essential for receiving cashless treatment, but even a minor error in personal information can lead to rejection. All details entered during registration must exactly match the Aadhaar records and other official databases. Any mismatch at any stage can result in the application being declined.
The Ayushman card was introduced by the Government of India in 2018 under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). It provides cashless medical treatment of up to ₹5 lakh per year at thousands of empanelled government and private hospitals across India. One of the key advantages of this scheme is that the entire process is digital, eliminating the need for agents or standing in long queues. The scheme is specifically designed to support financially weaker families, ensuring they can receive treatment for serious illnesses without facing financial hardship.
In such a situation, the Ayushman card may be rejected.
1. Card may be rejected if Aadhaar data and source data on NHA portal do not match.
2. The card can also be rejected if there is a difference between the father’s name recorded in the Aadhaar card and the father’s name recorded in the source data.
3. Gender mismatch between Aadhaar and source data
4. Mistakes or discrepancies in the date of birth records
5. Address mismatch between Aadhaar and source data
All beneficiaries of PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat Yojana) are requested to please take note!
👉🏻 To get an Ayushman Card, it is mandatory that all the information requested on the portal https://t.co/GVm99ZmhtC exactly matches the Aadhaar data and source data.
