Govt Assigns Interim Charge of JKBOSE Chairman to Secretary BOSE, Additional Charge of JKSCERT Director to DSEJ
Jammu, Jan 12: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued orders assigning interim and additional responsibilities for the posts of Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and Director of the Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Training (JKSCERT).
According to a notification released by the General Administration Department (Services), and reported by Kashmir News Corner (KNC), Mr. Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, JKAS, who is currently serving as Secretary of JKBOSE, has been given the interim charge of Chairman, JKBOSE. This arrangement has been made under Sub-section (1) of Section 12 of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Act, 1975, and will remain in effect until further orders. The position of Chairman had remained vacant for a significant period.
In a separate order, the government has assigned the additional charge of Director, JKSCERT, to Mr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, JKAS, who is presently posted as Director, School Education, Jammu. As per Government Order No. 44-JK(GAD) of 2026, Chowdhary will continue to perform his current duties while also overseeing JKSCERT, until further directions are issued, in the interest of administrative efficiency.
