At the start of the year, Airtel rolled out two new plans following TRAI’s directive. These plans were specifically designed for feature phone users and include benefits like unlimited calling, free SMS, and national roaming. Aimed at customers who use their number as a secondary SIM, India’s second-largest telecom provider introduced these budget-friendly options. One of the most affordable plans offers 365 days of validity, eliminating the need for users to worry about frequent recharges throughout the year.
Rs 1849 plan
Airtel offers this prepaid plan for ₹1849, providing users with unlimited calling across India. Additionally, the plan includes a total of 3,600 free SMS and free national roaming. Users also get access to free hellotunes. However, this plan does not include any data benefits—it is limited to calling and SMS services. It comes with a validity of 365 days. For internet usage, customers can separately recharge with Airtel’s data add-on packs.
Rs 2249 plan
Airtel also offers another affordable prepaid plan with a 365-day validity that includes both unlimited calling and data benefits. This long-term plan provides unlimited calls, free national roaming, and 30GB of high-speed data. Along with 3,600 free SMS, users also enjoy perks like free hello tunes.
In other Airtel-related news, the country’s second-largest telecom provider has added over 16 lakh new users to its network, as per TRAI’s April 2025 report. Airtel continues to be recognized for its strong network coverage, delivering excellent connectivity across India.
