CGHS Services Made Simpler and Fully Online
Accessing CGHS services has now become more convenient than ever. The government has digitized the entire process, allowing patients to manage tasks such as treatment approvals, permissions for medical equipment, and payments online. This means no more trips to hospitals or offices—everything can be done easily from your mobile phone or computer, without any hassle or delays.
1. CGHS ID Now Linked with PAN Card
Each CGHS beneficiary will now receive a unique ID generated using their PAN card. This step will help avoid duplication of records and ensure that all treatment details are accurately maintained under one identity.
2. No hassle of online payment
Now to deposit CGHS fees or contribution, payment can be made directly from the website www.cghs.mohfw.gov.in. This site is linked to Bharat Kosh, so now the payment will be verified automatically, there is no need to get it signed by any employee.
3. Password must be changed
Those who are already CGHS users will have to change their password after logging in to the new site. This will keep your account more secure.
4. Medical machines will now get quick approval
Now patients will not have to wait long for essential machines like oxygen concentrator, CPAP or BiPAP. Earlier all these approvals were obtained offline and took weeks, but now everything will be online and permission will also be given quickly.
5. You will get every update on SMS and email
You applied for something or it got approved or the payment was made. You will now get every update through SMS and email. This will eliminate the need to go to the office again and again.
6. New mobile app also launched
The government has also launched a mobile app called myCGHS 2.0. You can download it from Google Play Store. With this app, you can do many tasks like card transfer, adding dependent or changing the card from home.
7. What else changed?
Now you can check the status of your CGHS application online yourself. You will get instant receipt for every work and there is also a helpdesk and guide on the website and app for help.
