JKBOSE Clarifies: Practical Exams to Be Conducted After Theory Papers
The Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has clarified that the practical examinations will be held only after the completion of theory or main papers to ensure timely compilation of results.
Dismissing reports suggesting that practical exams for Class 12 would be conducted before theory papers, the official stated that no such order has been issued. Students have been advised to rely solely on official updates available on the JKBOSE website.
Speaking to the news agency JKNS, JKBOSE Secretary Sheikh Ghulam Hassan clarified that there should be no confusion regarding the schedule of practical examinations. “We have not made any announcement about holding practical exams before the theory papers. Students are advised to rely only on official updates available on our website,” he stated.
He further explained that the practical examinations will be conducted immediately after the theory papers or upon completion of the main subjects, emphasizing that the move aims to ensure timely declaration of results before the winter vacations and snowfall.
The Secretary also appealed to students to stay focused on their studies and avoid being misled by unverified information or rumors spreading on social media. “Students should regularly check the official JKBOSE website for accurate updates,” he added.
Earlier, several students had expressed strong opposition to reports suggesting that the Board planned to hold practical exams before the theory papers. (JKNS)
