JKSSB Class IV Posts: Educational Qualification
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has specified the educational eligibility requirements for recruitment to Class IV (MTS/Class 4th) positions in different government departments of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Eligibility Criteria for JKSSB Class IV Recruitment
According to S.O. 184 dated 04-06-2020, read along with SRO 99 of 2008 dated 07-04-2008, the educational qualifications prescribed for direct recruitment to Class IV posts are as follows:
- Minimum Required Qualification: Matriculation (10th pass)
- Maximum Allowed Qualification: Higher Secondary (10+2 / 12th pass)
Therefore, applicants must have passed Class 10, but candidates holding educational qualifications higher than Class 12 are not eligible to apply for JKSSB Class IV posts.
Important Eligibility Condition
The notification clearly states that:
- Any candidate having a qualification other than the prescribed minimum and maximum qualification shall not be eligible for appointment to Class IV posts.
- Therefore, candidates holding graduation or higher degrees are not eligible to apply for JKSSB Class IV vacancies.
