POSHAN Project Srinagar Recruitment 2026: Anganwadi Worker and Helper Vacancies
The Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), under the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, has released an official recruitment notification for the POSHAN Project Srinagar (Phase-I) for the year 2026. The notification invites applications for the positions of Sangini (Anganwadi Worker) and Sahayika (Anganwadi Helper) across different Anganwadi Centres in Srinagar.
This recruitment is being carried out as per Advertisement Notice No. 03-CDPO (SGR) of 2025, dated 29 December 2025. Eligible female candidates who are residents of the respective electoral wards can apply through the prescribed offline application process.

Eligibility Criteria
For Anganwadi Workers (Sangini)
- Must be a female domicile of UT of J&K
- Age: 18 to 37 years as on 01-01-2026
- Candidate must belong to the same electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located
- Minimum qualification: 10+2
- In case of equal merit, older candidate will be preferred
- Married candidates must have their residential address within the concerned ward
For Anganwadi Helpers (Sahayika)
- Female domicile of Jammu & Kashmir
- Age: 18 to 37 years as on 01-01-2026
- Must belong to the concerned electoral ward
- Minimum qualification: 8th pass
- Widow or divorcee candidates will be given preference
- Documents Required
Applicants must attach self-attested copies of the following documents:
- Domicile Certificate
- Educational Qualification Certificates
- Date of Birth Certificate
- Aadhaar Card
- Recent Passport-size Photographs
- Proof of Residence / Ward Certificate
- Original documents will be verified at the time of document checking.
- Application Submission Process
- Eligible candidates must submit the prescribed application form (Annexure-A) along with all required documents to the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, POSHAN Project Srinagar.
Applications received after 31-01-2026 or incomplete applications will not be considered.
