Why is eKYC necessary for ration card holders?
Ration card E-KYC, or Know Your Customer, is required to verify the identity of ration card holders and eliminate fake ration cards. Completing the KYC process ensures that only eligible beneficiaries receive benefits. Fake ration cards in someone’s name can be removed. Under the eKYC process, each ration card holder must verify their name, date of birth, etc., with their Aadhaar data.
