No Relaxation for Schools Violating Government Rules: Sakina Itoo
Srinagar: Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Friday affirmed that the government will take stringent action against private schools that disregard official guidelines and directives issued by the authorities.
As reported by the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Itoo told reporters that the School Education Department has already laid out the rules and regulations that private institutions must follow.
She added that instructions have also been passed to the JKBOSE to ensure proper implementation of these government orders.
The minister said that the department had received numerous complaints from parents, all of which were reviewed. Based on these findings, four private schools have been derecognized, while four others have been fined for breaching government rules and standards.
Itoo further stated that any future complaint against a private school for violating government directives will be thoroughly investigated, and strict measures—similar to those already taken against the eight schools—will be enforced.
She emphasized that complete accountability will be ensured and no one will be permitted to flout government norms. —(KNO)
