Toll Tax Exemption Within 20 km:
If you live within 20 km of a toll plaza, you can now travel unlimited times through it by simply getting a monthly pass worth ₹340. This benefit is only for private vehicles and does not apply to commercial ones or those living beyond the 20 km limit.
Toll Tax Update:
The government continues to revise toll rules, and a new system has been introduced. As per the latest change, residents within a 20 km radius of any toll plaza can now travel freely throughout the month with just one pass, avoiding repeated FASTag deductions. This move aims to reduce the inconvenience and unexpected charges many people face due to lack of awareness. The ₹340 monthly pass will help prevent multiple deductions and make travel easier for locals.
You will not have to pay any toll within a radius of 20 km
If you are traveling up to 20 km, then you will not have to pay any fee at the toll plaza. For this, you just have to get a pass made in advance. You will be happy to know that in September 2024, the government had decided to implement the “Jitni Doori, Utna Toll” policy.
Under this rule, vehicles which can be tracked with GNSS system (Location Tracking Technology) will not have to pay any toll on a journey of up to 20 km. The government has amended the National Highway Fee Rules 2008 to start this facility. This rule has been implemented as a pilot project on some national highways from July 2024.
Get a pass made for Rs 340
This facility will be given to those people who live within a radius of 20 km around the toll plaza. For this, people will have to get a pass of Rs 340 only once. With this pass, you can go out as many times as you want for 1 month, no separate charge will be levied. In this, no extra money will be deducted from your FASTag. If you get the pass made on time, you can avoid all the problems. Overall, this is a great opportunity, in which you can travel without tension.
