A strong Western Disturbance is likely to impact Jammu and Kashmir from tonight, bringing widespread rain and snow over the next 36–48 hours.

Heavy rainfall is expected in the plains of both Jammu and Kashmir, while higher altitudes may experience heavy snowfall. Popular destinations like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Doodhpathri, and Pahalgam are likely to witness the season’s first snowfall during this period.

Daytime temperatures are expected to drop sharply tomorrow, which will also mark the peak of the weather activity. Thunderstorms and gusty winds are also possible.
