Winter Vacations Announced for Government Degree Colleges in J&K
Srinagar/Jammu, Dec 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday released the winter vacation timetable for all Government Degree Colleges in the Union Territory.
According to an order issued by the Higher Education Department and reported by Kashmir News Corner (KNC), Government Degree Colleges located in the Winter Zone of both the Kashmir and Jammu divisions will remain closed for winter vacations from December 24, 2025, to February 14, 2026.
In contrast, Government Degree Colleges in the Jammu Division that fall under the Summer Zone will observe winter vacations from January 1, 2026, to February 10, 2026.
The order has been issued in the interest of administrative convenience and will apply to all Government Degree Colleges in their respective zones. The decision has been approved by the competent authority.
